The Housemaid (2025) Adam Olinger The Housemaid is trashy, ridiculous and damn entertaining. Amanda Seyfried knows exactly what type of film this is and owns her role. I wish I could say the same for Sydney Sweeney, who sleepwalks from scene to scene, adding nothing to the production.

Roofman (2025) Adam Olinger Roofman feels nostalgic in a few different ways. Not only do we get transported back to a time when Blockbuster video and Toys R Us were a big thing but the film itself just has a classic feel to it. When movies felt less manufactured and empty.

Good Boy (2025) Adam Olinger Good Boy has an interesting gimmick. A dog has the Haley Joel Osment ability to see dead people. I wouldn't say it's the most exciting film but it's very pretty, has a very short runtime and the dog is fantastic. Air Bud finally has some competition!

The Smashing Machine (2025) Adam Olinger It was nice to see this first-time actor, Dwayne Johnson, in The Smashing Machine. I think he's got a strong career ahead. As for the movie, it needed to get out of the ring sooner. There is enough to warrant a watch but it's no Iron Claw.

The Strangers: Chapter 2 (2025) Adam Olinger The dumb continues with The Strangers: Chapter 2. Most of the 90 minutes is spent watching the lead protagonist hide behind things, while you fight for your life to stay awake. Nothing happens so of course the stupid movie ends with a "To be Continued".

The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025) Adam Olinger The Conjuring: Last Rites is a fine last chapter (hopefully) to the Conjuring series. Some good tension, a couple standout moments and the leads are still terrific. The final act needed a big overhaul though. What a mess.
