Biography:

James Verniere started out in New York City as a freelance critic and feature writer for the Aquarian Arts Weekly, Film Comment, Heavy Metal, Twilight Zone Magazine and others. He was the film critic for the Boston Herald for 39 years. He also wrote for the L.A. Times, the Chicago Sun-Times and Sight and Sound. His weekly reviews now appear on the website Boston Movie News.
